FC Bayern München tops the Bundesliga. They have a six-point lead over VfL Wolfsburg.
Bianca Rech, director of FC Bayern, says the Bundesliga is going in a good way. Even with some fights between clubs and the German Football Association, she sees a good future. "Games are harder to predict now," she said on Thursday.
FC Bayern finished the first 14 games with 13 wins, one draw, and no losses. They let in just four goals. They lead by six points over VfL Wolfsburg in second place. Rech says the lead is good but not safe. "We must win our next game," she added.
The top team will play RB Leipzig next at Bayern Campus. All players are ready except Sarah Zadrazil and Lena Oberdorf, who have injuries. New player Bernadette Amani, plus Arianna Caruso and Momoko Tanikawa, can play in defensive midfield.
FC Bayern will play Champions League games in Unterhaching from this summer. Bayern Campus holds only 2,500 fans now. Rech said, "From summer, Champions League games go to Unterhaching. We keep league games at the campus for now." The full move to Unterhaching comes in summer 2029.
Rech looks forward to the Bundesliga restart this weekend. To match leagues like England, Germany must show good setups to bring players here. "Better structures will help. Not all can go to England," she said. Georgia Stanway will leave Bayern for another team. This opens a spot in defensive midfield.
