FC Bayern has agreed to sign 17-year-old striker Kassandra Potsi from SGS Essen, with a contract that runs until 30 June 2029.
Bayern paid a transfer fee to secure Potsi despite her existing contract at Essen.
Potsi progressed through all youth levels at SGS Essen and made her Frauen-Bundesliga debut at 16 against VfL Wolfsburg.
She has played more than 30 first-team matches and has represented Germany at youth international levels, gaining experience on the international stage.
SGS Essen described losing Potsi as a setback and praised her development at the club.
Interim coach Jessica Wissmann highlighted Potsi’s technical skill and potential, and Potsi thanked Essen for the opportunities she received there.
At Bayern, Potsi will join a strong attacking group that includes established forwards such as Pernille Harder and Jovana Damnjanović.
Coaching staff and the sporting director have pointed to her speed and ball control as reasons they expect her to grow within the squad, though immediate playing time is not guaranteed.
Potsi said she is excited about the move and views it as an important step for her career and personal growth.
She also emphasized her intention to finish the season at Essen on a positive note before moving to Bayern next summer.
