TSG Hoffenheim has a new head coach for its women's team. Eva-Maria Virsinger takes over after Theodoros Dedes left.
In November, TSG Hoffenheim and coach Theodoros Dedes agreed to part ways. Thomas Johrden served as interim coach. Now, the club has picked Eva-Maria Virsinger as the new head coach for the women's team.
Virsinger is excited about her new job at TSG Hoffenheim. She calls the club a very interesting team with a lot of potential. She looks forward to starting and helping the team do well.
Ralf Zwanziger, the department head, says Virsinger is the perfect coach for the club. She fits well both in skills and as a person. Before this, Virsinger was a support and selection coach. She played in the second division for VfL Sindelfingen and helped German youth national teams.
Virsinger has a UEFA A license. She finished the DFB Pro license course in 2025. She worked with the Württemberg Football Association and at VfL Wolfsburg, where she was an assistant coach since summer 2021.
