Hamburger SV added two players this winter to make their attack and defense stronger. Camilla Linberg comes from Kolbotn IL in Norway. Nigar Mirsalijewa comes from Zenit St. Petersburg.
Linberg and Mirsalijewa are the fifth and sixth players to join HSV this winter. They follow Lea Paulick, Gloria Sliskovic, Magou Doucouré, and Paulina Bartz. Saskia Breuer, head of HSV women, likes Linberg. She says Linberg brings energy, speed, and new ideas to the game.
Camilla Linberg is 26 years old. She played well in Norway for teams like Lyn Oslo and Rosenborg BK. She won the Norwegian Cup in 2023. Last season with Kolbotn IL, she scored nine goals and gave three assists in 19 games.
Nigar Mirsalijewa is 23 years old. She won the Russian title with Zenit St. Petersburg in 2023 and 2024. Before that, she played for Rubin Kazan.
Linberg is happy to join HSV. She says it is a club with a big history and clear plans. Mirsalijewa is excited to be in Hamburg. She wants to play in front of fans at Volksparkstadion. Both have played for their national teams. Mirsalijewa has 38 matches for Azerbaijan.
