SV Werder Bremen shared news of Tuana Mahmoud's contract extension on Tuesday morning. The length of the new deal is not public. But it is clear she will remain with the club after summer.
Tuana Mahmoud is healing from a serious injury right now. She tore her cruciate ligament in the first game of the 2025/26 season against SC Freiburg.
Tuana Mahmoud joined SV Werder Bremen in summer 2017. She has played 86 matches for the team. At age 14, she moved to the U17 squad. She made her Bundesliga debut in October 2020.
Even with her injury, other teams from Germany and abroad offered deals for Mahmoud. The club is glad she chose to stay. The women's football director believes she will recover and help the team in the future.
