Kaylie Ronan has left SV Werder Bremen. The club and player agreed to end her contract right away.
Kaylie Ronan is a 23-year-old center-back. She has left SV Werder Bremen. The club and Ronan agreed to end her contract immediately. She had little playing time this season. She made one appearance in the DFB-Pokal. She came on as a substitute four times since October last year.
Ronan's role on the team got smaller this season. She did not join the training camp. This showed her departure was coming. The club changed its defense after Michelle Ulbrich went on loan to FC Bayern Munich. This change affected Ronan's spot.
Ronan thanked everyone for her time at Werder Bremen. She said, "My time at Werder Bremen was incredibly special. I was welcomed well from the very first day and felt very welcome. Coming to Germany as an American into a new culture was made very easy for me by the club, my teammates, and especially the fans. This support meant a lot to me. The last year has helped me grow both on and off the field. I will always be grateful for this chapter and the memories I have made here."
