Young goalkeeper Larissa Rusek has left 1. FC Nürnberg for Juventus Turin. Both clubs confirmed the move on Saturday.
Larissa Rusek's time at 1. FC Nürnberg has ended after half a season. The 22-year-old goalkeeper is now moving to Juventus Turin in Italy.
Rusek joined 1. FC Nürnberg in summer 2025 from USV Neulengbach in Austria. At 22 years old, she soon became the main goalkeeper. She took the spot from Kristin Krammer, who played eight games the season before.
Rusek played in all 14 Bundesliga games this season for Nürnberg. She made 74 saves, the most in the league. Now the team must find a new goalkeeper.
Rusek signed a contract with Juventus until 2028. She will compete for the starting spot with other good goalkeepers like Danielle de Jong and Pauline Peyraud-Magnin.
Osman Cankaya, head of women's football at Nürnberg, called Rusek a strong leader on and off the field. He said the money offer from Juventus was too good to say no to, with the team's money needs. Now only two goalkeepers are left in the pro squad: Krammer and Lourdes Romero.
