FC Union Berlin has good news with injured players back in training. The team still needs help in defense and may sign a new player.
FC Union Berlin is making progress. Injured players Tanja Pawollek, Leonie Köster, Fatma Şakar, and Hannah Eurlings took part in a friendly match against CD Castellón during a training camp. They are now back in action.
The good news does not fix all problems. Center-backs Tomke Schneider, Mariann Noack, and Anna Aehling are out with injuries. Anna Aehling has a bad Achilles tendon injury. The team needs more players in defense.
Union Berlin wants to sign Amber Tysiak to strengthen defense. The 25-year-old from Belgium plays for West Ham United. Her contract runs until 2028. Talks are about a transfer fee of around 160,000 EUR.
If Amber Tysiak joins, Union Berlin will have seven center-backs. This includes the injured ones. The team must think about playing time for everyone. Union has 34 players, the most in the Bundesliga. Other teams average 29 players.
Amber Tysiak has played 57 games for West Ham in three years. She starts most matches and is important to her team. She signed a new deal in January 2025, but a move to Union Berlin may happen soon.
