Striking in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time, the forward, who recently made her return to the U.S. women’s national team, found herself in a one-on-one situation with Angel City goalkeeper Angelina Anderson. Wilson calmly slotted the ball into the opposite low corner to seal the result, marking her first goal since coming back from maternity leave.
The match featured late scoring action from both sides. Pietra Tordin initially put Portland ahead by netting a goal in the 76th minute. Later in the contest, Prisca Chilufya found an equalizer for Angel City in the 98th minute.
