FC Bayern Munich will buy Sportpark Unterhaching and make it the home of their women's team. The change starts on 1 January 2026.
FC Bayern Munich will buy Sportpark Unterhaching, with the takeover effective on 1 January 2026.
The Allianz Arena Stadion GmbH, owned by FC Bayern München AG, will run the site and handle stadium operations after the purchase.
The Sportpark, opened in 1992, will become the regular home ground for the FC Bayern women's team for matches and training.
The club will make planned improvements so the stadium can meet the team’s daily needs and provide better facilities for players and staff.
From the 2026/2027 season, the women's team will play their Champions League home games at Sportpark Unterhaching.
The stadium has a capacity of about 15,000, which is much larger than the FC Bayern Campus that holds around 2,500 fans.
Club leaders say the move is an important step in developing the women's team and offering fans a better match experience.
SpVgg Unterhaching’s first team is expected to continue using the ground as well. The exact sale price was not officially confirmed; reports suggest it was about €7.2 million converted from earlier figures.
